Empowering Safer Communities Through Education
Each year, thousands of dog bites occur—and most are preventable. Fort St. James Dog Training offers engaging, educational presentations designed to help kids and adults understand dog body language, learn how to approach dogs safely, and reduce fear and risk.
This program was proudly sponsored by the Fort St. James Animal Care Team Society, a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting responsible pet ownership, animal welfare, and community safety.
WHO IS THIS PROGRAM FOR?

– school children (all ages)
– youth groups and clubs
– family and parent groups
– anyone who wants to learn more about being safe around dogs!
WHAT WE COVER
– how to read dog body language
– what to do (and what not to do!) when meeting a dog
– safe behavior around familiar and unfamiliar dogs
– how kids can protect themselves in tricky situations
– real life scenarios; visual aids, and fun demonstrations and games centered around learning

Each presentation is age-appropriate, interactive, and tailored to your group’s needs. Kids leave with confidence, not fear—and adults gain tools they can use every day.
