Would you like your dog to have a better understanding of basic skills such as sit, down, stay, walk on a leash and come when called? This class will introduce all the foundation knowledge you need to know to get started training your dog and to set you up for success.

YOU WILL LEARN…

the 5 basic obedience commands; sit, down, stay, heel and come

basic leash skills; how to hold your leash and the right leashes and collars for training and how to maneuver your leash for control

loose-leash walking; walk your dog without them pulling you down the street!

building distractions and challenges so that your dog can listen to you in public places

basic dog training terminology

how to phase out treats so that you don’t always need treats in your pocket for your dog to listen

DISCLAIMER/RULES:

This is not a dog social group.

This is not doggy play time.

This is an obedience class.

All dogs must remain on leash.

Dogs must not meet face-to-face during class.

You will see progress if you continuously work with your dog outside of class time.

You will not see progress if you don’t work with your dog outside of class time.

All owners must pick up after their dogs. Poop bags/scoops provided.

Don’t touch my demo dog Zelda without permission.

Don’t touch any of the other dogs without permission of the owner.
